Checking if an EV Charging Station is Powered On

How to check if a station is powered on

What's happening?

  • The station has no power
  • The station is off
  • The LED is not turning on

What do you need to get started?

  • Stations used:
    • EVBox BusinessLine
    • EVBox Elvi
    • EVBox HomeLine
    • EVBox Iqon
    • EVBox Livo
    • EVBox PublicLine
    • EVBox Troniq 50
    • EVBox Troniq Modular
    • EVBox Ultroniq
  • A charge card

What can you do?

  1. Check if the LED ring is on
    • If it shows any color, it has power
  2. Swipe your charging card or any RFID card
    • If you hear a beep or the locking motor is trying to engage, the station has power
  3. Check the fusebox to which the station is connected and reset the group
    1. Replace the fuse if needed and start again from step 1
  4. Contact Catec Support or your installer if the station appears to remain unpowered

What happens next?

  1. Catec Support might be able to check remotely if the station is indeed offline and send out a service partner to check the station
