How to read the LED status of a station
What's happening?
You want to understand the LED status of your station
What do you need to get started?
- Stations used:
- EVBox BusinessLine
- EVBox HomeLine
- EVBox PublicLine
- EVBox Elvi
- EVBox Iqon
What can you do?
- Make sure the station is powered on
- Start charging your vehicle
- Check the LED status of the station in the table below
Meaning of LED status per station type
LED Status | What it means | What to do |
Solid green | The station is on stand-by or ready for use. | - Scan your charge card or read the QR-Code if available to start charging

Flashing green | Your charge card is being authorized. | - Connect the cable to the vehicle
- Wait for the LED to become solid blue
|
Solid yellow | Your car is fully charged. Tip: The vehicle can choose to stop charging even before the battery is full. Check your vehicle for the battery‘s state of charge. | - Stop the charging session using the payment method used for activation
- Unplug the charging cable
|
Flashing yellow | Your car is queued for Smart charging (waiting to start charging). | - When power is available, charging (re)starts and the LED ring turns solid blue
|
Solid blue | Your car is charging. | - Wait until the vehicle is charged
|
Solid orange or red | An error has occurred or the station is performing a firmware update. | - Unlock the charging cable using the payment method used for activation
- Check the station Manual for basic troubleshooting. If you can't solve the issue, contact your supplier
|
Flashing red | Your charge card is not authorized to start a charging session. Tip: The LEDs also flash red 10 times during power up, even if there are no errors detected. | - Contact your charge card service operator.
Tip: If the station is powering up, wait a few seconds until the LED becomes solid green
|
Flashing purple | G4 station is in Bluetooth pairing mode and ready to pair with the EVBox Connect app. | - Use the EVBox Connect app to make configuration changes in your G4 stations
